The Unexpected Way Your Guests May Interpret Your Gift Registry

This week’s episode is extra special because I’m chatting with Amy + David, so not only do you get to hear great advice from their wedding planning experience, but you also get to know our team a little better. Amy has been working with me since the spring of 2018. She began as my assistant at weddings, and now she’s Block Wedding + Events’ lead wedding coordinator for the Seattle area. She’s got a bubbly personality and glass-half-full outlook on pretty much everything, which is one of the things I love the most about her. We spent this interview reflecting on the things that they decided to incorporate into planning out of necessity, without really knowing how it’d go over with family. Their unique wedding planning ideas covered big and small things, like how to go dress shopping with a large group of very involved family and friends, and the unexpected outcome they had with their gift registries. I promise, you’ll walk away with quite a few new ideas for your own wedding after listening to this episode.

In the Q+A segment, I answer: “HELP! I just got engaged and I have no idea where to start. We’re anxious to get a venue booked since we’d like to get married this summer. Where do we begin?”

Featured vendors: Bigelow Arbors Chapel (venue), Ezra Photography (photos), Charley’s Catering Company (food and drinks), and Faces by Jennifer (hair and make-up)
